I thought the film was a very good representation of Jon Krakauer’s eponymous book.  The scenery was beautiful, the actors first rate: among them Vince Vaughan, Catherine Keener, and Hal Holbrook; plus Emile Hirsch playing the disarming Chris McCandless aka Alexander Supertramp.  I loved his character.  My movie mate thought him immature and narcisistic.   Chacun a son goût. Saw it at the Sunshine, always a treat. [11/07]
